Renovation Underwriting, the MGA that offers specialist renovation capacity and expertise, has confirmed its commitment to BIBA 2024 and given the sector a glimpse of its approach for this year.

Developed especially for the flagship event, the 2024 stand will showcase how creativity sits at the heart of RU’s contract works approach and encourage continued creativity in our profession.

RU’s call for creativity across the sector was first raised at the MGA’s recent launch of ‘Renovating The Classics’. On Tuesday 26th March 2024, over 80 guests joined the MGA in London to witness the unveiling of a new series that takes world-famous art and introduces an entirely new renovation twist.

‘Notre Dame Screams’ will take centre stage at RU’s BIBA stand as a celebration of the human creativity that sits at the heart of Renovation Underwriting. In on-stand discussions, the RU team will urge the gathered insurance industry leaders to celebrate and discuss the importance of continued creativity in the profession, which typically adopts incremental change.

While some see creativity as a tool, we use it as an operating system. It’s an integral driving force behind curating the best service, products and cover. Not only that, but working together to overcome problems through creativity helps teams build closer connections, trust and collaboration. Douglas Brown, Managing Director

RU’s BIBA 2-24 news follows its most recent announcement, confirming the arrival of senior hire Wayne Knibbs. Wayne officially joined Renovation Underwriting on 2 April as Head of Distribution for Private Clients and is set to join fellow RU colleagues at BIBA 2024 as part of the on-stand team on 15 and 16 May, stand D76. Wayne is the third distribution specialist to join the team since the in-house distribution arm was established in 2021 by the overall Head of Distribution, James Guthrie.
