Our Story

When we set out on our journey, we wanted to create a business that didn’t just provide renovation insurance, but one that was driven to make a difference. This is our story, so far.

From the beginning, we were confident that there was an insurance solution for the overwhelming majority of renovation risks. We made it our job to find it; however challenging or time-consuming.

Why? So that each and every renovation project we were asked to cover, however challenging or complex, was fully protected where possible.

Those central values of expertise and passion still drive us today. In each and every renovation case, we deliver sound advice, comprehensive cover, competitive premiums and a fair claims settlement.

We have continually increased our underwriting capacity over successive years to maintain our highly rated service levels, and we are proud to hold strong, long-term relationships with our capacity partners too.

Our History

  • 2010
    April

Our journey started some years ago, when Renovation Insurance Brokers was established. We started as brokers, but soon noticed there weren’t enough good renovation insurance products for us to access. We found that most people undertaking building works didn’t get the cover they really needed, either because they thought they were already covered (but weren’t) or because there weren’t exceptional cover options available in the market to help.

This struck us – and still does – as a failure on the part of the insurance industry. We wanted to put it right, without compromising on the quality of the products and advice that consumers now demand. The investment that followed with the emergence of Renovation Underwriting has made this mission possible.
