Renovation Underwriting has once again been recognised for its continued excellence in the insurance sector, receiving the prestigious five-star rating in the Insurance Times’ 2025/26 MGA survey. This recognition is particularly noteworthy given that all votes are made by brokers. The award of the five-star rating marks the fourth consecutive year that Renovation Underwriting has achieved this feat and was one of just 11 MGAs to have achieved such an accolade.
The survey which gathered responses from over 1,600 brokers, provided opinions, attitudes, and satisfaction levels for their MGA partners on criteria including knowledge, speed of delivery, human interaction, technology capability, transparency, training, flexibility and reputation among others. Renovation Underwriting received its highest number of individual responses from brokers – 97 -a significant increase from the 71 recorded last year, signalling strong engagement.
An in-depth analysis of the survey will be published in November 2025, but the initial feedback from this year’s survey underscores the high regard brokers continue to have for RU’s services and maintains our strong position in the top tier of MGAs.

Managing Director of Renovation Underwriting, Douglas Brown, said:
“Achieving a five-star rating from the brokers you work with day to day is deeply humbling. This is a significant achievement for us to maintain the highest possible rating for the fourth year running, and the results once again demonstrate our consistency, resilience, and strong broker relationships.
“We deeply value our partnership with brokers, and we thank those for the near 100 responses we received, who gave up their precious time to rank us so highly.
“The survey not only provides us with valuable insights to refine our services and business direction, but a 5-star result also gives us a chance to celebrate the hard work of our diligent team.”
This recognition supplements another five-star rating and All-Star award received by RU in May this year from brokers surveyed by Insurance Business UK magazine, further solidifying the company’s reputation for excellence across the sector.
