Renovation Underwriting, the market leading specialist MGA in the property renovation space, has welcomed a new Underwriter to its team. Katherine Waterton joined this month, to further bolster the underwriter capacity in a business that is achieving extensive growth since converting to an MGA in 2018.
Katherine has 15 years of experience working in the insurance industry both in underwriting and a broker - making her aware of the service standards demanded of both.
Katherine’s arrival sees our in house Underwriting team grow to seven dedicated renovation underwriters across the country - and her significant background in Underwriting environments supports our continuing desire to provide the most experienced set of underwriters in the specialist renovation insurance market.
Douglas Brown, Managing Director of Renovation said:
“It is my absolute pleasure to welcome Katherine to Renovation Underwriting; whose arrival reflects the continuing demand for our specialist Underwriting services as a niche MGA. Katherine’s expertise and approach complements the existing Underwriting team perfectly; bringing significant experience of the insurance market as well as passion and commitment to the niche area in which we operate. Our commitment to supporting the broker channel with the best underwriting facilities continues.”
Renovation Underwriting has offices in both Cambridgeshire and London, dealing with enquiries from across the UK. It delivers consultancy and insurance services for high value residential and mixed residential/commercial construction and renovation projects ranging from £300k up to £50m. On combined works and structure projects, these values can rise up to £150 million.
